Field-based Metaphor Analysis — Naturalistische Metafoor-elicitation en Interpretatie
Field-based metaphor analysis is een kwalitatieve methode die spontane of geëliciteerde metaforen verzamelt en interpreteert van deelnemers in hun natuurlijke omgeving. Geworteld in de conceptuele metafoortheorie van Lakoff en Johnson, onthult het hoe individuen en gemeenschappen abstracte concepten — zoals onderwijs, leiderschap of ziekte — structureren door middel van beeldspraak die in reële contexten wordt aangetroffen of geproduceerd. In tegenstelling tot puur op documenten gebaseerde metafoorstudies, combineren field-based varianten gegevensverzameling in natuurlijke veldinstellingen met systematische analytische codering.
