Digitale Conversatieanalyse (DCA) past de systematische, beurt-voor-beurt analytische procedures van Conversatieanalyse (CA) toe op digitale en computer-gemedieerde interacties — inclusief chatlogs, socialemediathreads, instant messages en online forums. Geworteld in het fundamentele CA-kader van Sacks, Schegloff en Jefferson, past DCA klassieke concepten zoals beurtwisseling, adjacency pairs en sequentiële organisatie aan om rekening te houden met het asynchrone, multimodale en tekstuele karakter van online communicatie.
