Causale Mediatie-Analyse (Natuurlijk Direct en Indirect Effect)
Causale mediatie-analyse is een contrafactueel raamwerk dat het totale effect van een behandeling opsplitst in een Natuurlijk Direct Effect (NDE) en een Natuurlijk Indirect Effect (NIE) dat via een mediator loopt. De moderne algemene benadering werd geformaliseerd door Pearl (2001) en Imai, Keele en Tingley (2010), wat de decompositie een precieze causale interpretatie geeft.
