Ujian Hipotesis Dibantu Simulasi

Ujian hipotesis dibantu simulasi menggantikan atau melengkapkan teori kebarangkalian analitik dengan simulasi pengkomputeran — kaedah pensampelan semula, permutasi, atau Monte Carlo — untuk membina taburan nul dan menilai hipotesis. Daripada menganggap taburan parametrik dan merujuk jadual, penyelidik menjana beribu-ribu set data simulasi daripada data yang diperhatikan atau model yang dinyatakan, membina taburan nul empirikal di mana statistik ujian yang diperhatikan dibandingkan. Pendekatan ini amat berharga apabila andaan analitik (normaliti, sampel besar) tidak dapat dipenuhi.
