Meža inventarizācijas izlase
Meža inventarizācijas izlase ir sistemātiska pieeja meža raksturlielumu, piemēram, koksnes krājumu, sugu sastāva un biomasas, novērtēšanai, aptverot reprezentatīvu koku apakškopu, nevis veicot pilnīgu uzskaiti. Šo metodi, ko 1970. gados izstrādāja Lēčs (Loetsch) un kolēģi, piemēro statistiskās izlases teoriju meža novērtēšanai, un tā joprojām ir ilgtspējīgas meža apsaimniekošanas un resursu uzraudzības pamats visā pasaulē.
