KopsavilkumsThe Spatial Durbin Model is a general spatial regression model that includes a spatial lag of both the dependent variable (ρWy) and the explanatory variables (WXθ). Introduced as the recommended starting point by LeSage and Pace (2009), it nests the spatial autoregressive (SAR) and spatial error (SEM) models as special cases.Geographically Weighted Regression is a local regression method, introduced by Fotheringham, Brunsdon and Charlton (2002), that allows the regression coefficients to vary across space. Instead of one global equation, it fits a separate set of coefficients at every location, capturing spatial heterogeneity in the relationships.
