맵 대수
맵 대수는 기존 래스터 레이어에서 새로운 래스터 레이어를 파생시키기 위한 규칙 기반 언어 및 계산 프레임워크로, 셀 단위 또는 이웃 셀을 통해 산술, 논리 또는 통계 연산을 적용합니다. 1990년 Dana Tomlin에 의해 형식화된 이 시스템은 래스터 GIS 분석의 기초가 되는 대수 체계이며, 격자 데이터에 대한 공간적으로 명시적인 계산이 필요한 환경 과학, 도시 계획, 수문학 및 토지 이용 모델링에서 널리 사용됩니다.
