평가 중심 탐색 순차 혼합 방법론 설계는 프로그램 평가 목표와 두 단계의 순차적 구조를 결합합니다. 즉, 질적 탐구가 양적 단계를 선행하며 정보를 제공합니다. 1단계에서는 인터뷰나 포커스 그룹을 통해 이해관계자의 경험이나 프로그램 과정을 탐색하며, 그 결과는 2단계에서 결과를 측정하는 데 사용될 도구나 프레임워크를 구축하는 데 활용됩니다. 이 접근법은 프로그램의 작동 방식에 대해 알려진 바가 거의 없을 때 사용되며, 결과에 대한 이해와 더 넓은 모집단으로의 일반화 모두 중요할 때 적합합니다.
