비교 스트라우스식 근거 이론
비교 스트라우스식 근거 이론은 스트라우스와 코빈의 체계적인 개방-축-선택 코딩 프레임워크를 두 개 이상의 목적적으로 선정된 맥락, 그룹 또는 현장 전반에 적용하여, 맥락 내 과정과 맥락 간 변이를 모두 설명하는 이론을 생성한다. 글레이저와 스트라우스(1967)가 처음 기술한 분석 엔진인 지속 비교 방법은 의도적인 설계 수준 전략으로 격상되어, 연구자들이 사회적 과정이 다양한 조건 하에서 어떻게 다르게 전개되는지를 설명하는 중간 범위 이론을 구축할 수 있게 한다.
