조석 조화 분석
조석 조화 분석은 관측된 해수면 또는 조류 시계열을 천문 조석 성분에 해당하는 특정 주파수, 진폭 및 위상을 가진 사인파 성분들의 합으로 분해하는 수학적 방법입니다. 1867년 윌리엄 톰슨(켈빈 경)에 의해 개발된 조화 분석은 조석 예측과 연안 지역의 조석 역학 이해를 가능하게 합니다.
