Degree Heating Weeks
Degree Heating Weeks (DHW)는 산호 백화 임계값 이상의 축적된 열 노출을 정량화하는 열 스트레스 지표로, 위성 해수면 온도 데이터로부터 계산됩니다. 2003년 NOAA의 산호초 감시 프로그램에서 개발한 DHW는 전 세계 산호 백화 스트레스를 예측하고 모니터링하기 위한 표준화된 지수를 제공합니다. 이 지표는 열 이상 현상의 강도와 지속 시간을 결합하여 산호 군집에 대한 누적 생리적 스트레스를 추정합니다.
