연륜연대법
연륜연대법은 나무 나이테를 연대 측정하고 분석하여 과거의 기후 조건, 연대기, 나무 성장 패턴을 재구성하는 과학입니다. 20세기 초 앤드루 엘리콧 더글러스가 개척하고 프릿츠와 동료들이 체계화한 연륜연대법은 역사적 목재 표본의 정확한 연대 측정을 가능하게 하고 수천 년에 걸친 기후 기록을 생성하여 고기후학, 고고학, 산림 생태학에 필수적인 도구가 되었습니다.
