범죄 연계 분석
범죄 연계 분석은 행동 및 수법(modus operandi, MO) 유사성을 기반으로 일련의 범죄가 동일한 가해자에 의해 저질러졌는지 여부를 판단하는 법의학적 방법이다. 2000년대 초 Craig Bennell와 동료들이 체계적으로 개발한 범죄 연계는 통계 및 유사성 일치 기법을 적용하여 가해자 귀속을 확립한다. 이 방법은 연쇄 범죄 수사에서 필수적인데, 연계를 확립하면 수사 자원 통합, 지리 프로파일링, 가해자 중심 감시가 가능해진다.
