고고학 층서 — 층서 발굴 및 순서 분석
고고학 층서는 인간 활동의 상대적 연대 순서를 확립하기 위해 고고학 유적지의 토층, 퇴적물, 구조물을 체계적으로 발굴하고 기록하는 것을 말합니다. 지질학의 중첩의 법칙, 즉 아래층이 위층보다 오래되었다는 원리에 근거하여, 해리스 매트릭스(Harris Matrix)를 형식적인 도구로 사용하여 퇴적 관계를 지도화하고 유적지의 역사를 층별로 재구성합니다.
