Interpretive Semiotic Analysis
Interpretive semiotic analysis is a qualitative method that examines how signs — words, images, symbols, gestures, and sounds — produce meaning within specific social and cultural contexts. Drawing on Saussurean semiology and Barthesian cultural analysis, the approach moves beyond surface-level description to uncover the layered, context-bound meanings that sign systems generate.
