경제적 급전 (Economic Dispatch)
경제적 급전(Economic Dispatch, ED)은 수요를 충족시키기 위해 투입된 발전기들의 출력을 최적으로 배분하여 연료비를 최소화하는 과정이다. 1958년 Kirchmayer가 처음 소개한 ED는 전력 시스템 운영에서 몇 분마다 해결되는 기본적인 실시간 최적화 문제이다. 발전기 투입/차단 여부를 결정하는 단위 급전(Unit Commitment)과 달리, ED는 발전기들이 이미 투입되었다고 가정하고 가장 경제적으로 부하를 분담하는 데 초점을 맞춘다. ED의 빠른 피드백은 효율적인 실시간 발전소 운영을 가능하게 한다.
