지표값 분석(Indicator Value Analysis)
지표값(IndVal) 분석은 Dufrene과 Legendre(1997)가 개발한 방법으로, 특정 환경 조건, 서식지 유형 또는 군집 그룹의 존재를 신뢰성 있게 나타내는 종을 식별한다. 이 방법은 종과 서식지 간의 연관성을 정량화하여, 특이성(특정 서식지에 대한 배타적 선호도)과 충실도(서식지가 존재할 때 일관되게 나타나는 것)를 결합한 지표값을 산출한다. IndVal은 보존 분야에서 관리 대상 종 식별, 서식지 유형 분류에서 지표종 발견, 복원 생태학에서 복원된 군집이 기준 조건과 일치하는지 평가하는 데 널리 사용된다.
