Viewshed Analysis
Viewshed analysis는 디지털 표고 모델(DEM)과 지리 정보 시스템(GIS)을 사용하여 특정 위치 또는 정의된 영역 내에서 보이는 것을 분석하는 방법입니다. 1990년대 David Wheatley가 개척한 이 방법은 지형(언덕 꼭대기, 계곡, 수원지)이 시야와 이동을 어떻게 통제했는지 보여줍니다. 고고학자들은 viewshed analysis를 사용하여 선사 및 역사 시대의 지형에서 취락 배치, 의례 기념물 가시성, 영토 조직을 이해합니다.
