VOSviewer支援共引用分析
VOSviewer支援共引用分析は、ヘンリースモール（Henry Small）の共引用尺度――後続の研究によって2つの文書が同時に引用される回数を数える――と、VOSviewerの自動的なネットワーク構築および視覚的マッピング能力を組み合わせたものである。その結果、研究分野の知的基盤の空間的マップが得られ、多くの引用コンテクストを共有する文書がクラスター化され、思考の基盤となる学派とその関係性を明らかにする。
