Regresi Bertahap
Regresi bertahap adalah prosedur pemilihan variabel otomatis untuk regresi linier berganda yang menambah atau menghapus variabel prediktor satu per satu sesuai dengan kriteria statistik, biasanya statistik F atau ambang batas nilai-p. Algoritme seleksi maju (forward-selection) secara formal dideskripsikan oleh Efroymson (1960) dan varian dua arah (bidirectional) dipopulerkan oleh Draper dan Smith dalam teks penting mereka tahun 1966, Applied Regression Analysis. Meskipun digunakan secara historis secara luas, metode ini sekarang banyak dikritik, sehingga dokumentasinya sangat penting dalam pustaka metode kanonik apa pun.
