Metoda brzih multipola

Metoda brzih multipola (FMM) je hijerarhijski algoritam koji smanjuje računalnu složenost interakcija čestica s O(n²) na O(n log n) ili O(n), a razvili su je Greengard i Rokhlin 1987. Grupiranjem udaljenih čestica i aproksimacijom njihovih kumulativnih učinaka putem multipolnih ekspanzija, FMM omogućuje učinkovitu simulaciju N-čestičnih problema, rubnih integralnih jednadžbi i Coulombovih interakcija.
