Prenosno učenje kod klasifikacije slika ponovno koristi duboku neuronsku mrežu, obično CNN ili Vision Transformer, prethodno uvježbanu na velikom skupu podataka poput ImageNeta, te je prilagođava za klasifikaciju slika u novoj ciljnoj domeni. Nasljeđivanjem općih vizualnih značajki iz izvornog zadatka, pristup postiže visoku točnost s daleko manje označenih slika nego što je potrebno za uvježbavanje od nule.
