Fino podešavanje Transformera prilagođava veliki pred-obučen model — kao što su BERT, GPT ili ViT — specifičnom ciljnom zadatku nastavljanjem obuke temeljene na gradijentu na označenom ciljnom skupu podataka. Ova dvostupanjska paradigma (pred-obuka pa fino podešavanje) dosljedno postiže najsuvremenije rezultate u zadacima obrade prirodnog jezika i računalnog vida s daleko manje podataka specifičnih za zadatak nego obuka od nule.
