Objašnjiva klasifikacija slika kombinira dubokoučni klasifikator slika — tipično konvolucijsku neuronsku mrežu (CNN) ili Vision Transformer — s post-hoc ili intrinzičnom metodom interpretabilnosti kao što su Grad-CAM, LIME ili SHAP kako bi se proizvela vizualna ili kvantitativna objašnjenja zašto je model dodijelio određenu oznaku slici. Cilj je učiniti proces odlučivanja klasifikatora transparentnim, revizibilnim i pouzdanim.
