Domenski prilagodena segmentacija instanci proširuje arhitekture tipa Mask R-CNN kako bi radile preko promjena distribucije – trenirajuci na označenom izvornom domenu (npr. sintetičke prikaze ili dnevne snimke) i prilagodavajuci se na neoznačeni ili slabo označen ciljni domen (npr. stvarne scene ili noćne snimke). Adversarijalno poravnanje značajki i samostalno treniranje zatvaraju domensku prazninu na granularnosti slike i instanci.
