זיהוי שלילה — זיהוי מה טקסט מציין שלא התרחש
זיהוי שלילה הוא משימת עיבוד שפה טבעית המאתרת רמזי שלילה בטקסט — מילים או ביטויים כגון 'לא', 'בלי', 'מכחיש' — וקובעת את טווח הטקסט (ההיקף) שמשמעותו רמזים אלו הופכים. פורמליזציה עבור טקסט קליני על ידי צ'פמן ועמיתיו (2001) עם אלגוריתם NegEx והרחבה ללימוד היקף בספרות ביו-רפואית על ידי מורנטה ודאלמנס (2009), השיטה חיונית בכל מקום שבו ההבדל בין ממצא קיים לבין היותו מנוטרל במפורש נושא השלכות אמיתיות.
