דגימת מלאי יער היא גישה שיטתית להערכת מאפייני יער כגון נפח עצים, הרכב מינים וביומסה, באמצעות סקר של תת-קבוצה מייצגת של עצים, במקום ביצוע מפקדים ממצים. השיטה, שפותחה על ידי Loetsch ועמיתיו בשנות ה-70, מיישמת תיאוריית דגימה סטטיסטית להערכת יערות ונשארת הבסיס לניהול יערות בר-קיימא וניטור משאבים ברחבי העולם.
