RésuméMachine learning-assisted ChIP-seq peak calling extends classical statistical peak detection with supervised or unsupervised learning models that distinguish genuine protein-binding sites from background noise. By training on sequence composition, read coverage profiles, and epigenomic features, these methods improve sensitivity and specificity compared with threshold-based approaches, particularly in low-signal or heterogeneous chromatin contexts.Sequence alignment is a foundational bioinformatics technique that arranges two or more DNA, RNA, or protein sequences to reveal regions of similarity, infer evolutionary relationships, identify functional domains, and map sequencing reads to reference genomes. It underpins virtually every downstream genomic analysis, from variant calling and gene expression quantification to phylogenetics and structural annotation.
