Quantum Monte Carlo

Quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) er en stokastisk beregningsmetode til at beregne grundtilstandsegenskaber for kvantemekaniske mange-partikelsystemer. Ved at kombinere klassisk Monte Carlo-sampling med kvantemekanik er QMC-tilgange blandt de mest nøjagtige metoder tilgængelige for elektronstruktur og faststoffysik, og opnår sub-procent nøjagtighed for mange systemer.
