Voxelbaseret Morfometri

Voxelbaseret Morfometri (VBM) er en statistisk helhjerne-teknik til at detektere lokale forskelle i grå substans' volumen eller koncentration ud fra strukturel MR. VBM blev introduceret af John Ashburner og Karl Friston i 2000 og gør det muligt for forskere at identificere regionale hjernevolumenændringer forbundet med sygdom, aldring, indlæring og andre faktorer uden at kræve a priori definitioner af interesseområder.
