Canny kantdetektion

Canny kantdetektoren, introduceret af John Canny i 1986, er en flertrinsalgoritme til identifikation af kanter i digitale billeder, hvor der forekommer signifikante intensitetsændringer. Cannys metode er optimal for trin-kanter i additiv Gaussisk støj og forbliver guldstandarden for kantdetektion inden for computersyn på grund af dens matematiske elegance og praktiske effektivitet.
