Differential Proteomiksanalyse — Sammenligning af proteinmængde på tværs af betingelser

Differential proteomiksanalyse er en kvantitativ pipeline, der identificerer proteiner, hvis mængdeniveauer ændrer sig signifikant mellem to eller flere biologiske betingelser — såsom sundt versus sygt væv, behandlede versus ubehandlede celler eller forskellige udviklingsstadier. Ved at kombinere massespektrometri-baseret detektion med statistisk testning genererer metoden rangordnede lister over differentielt udtrykte proteiner, der kan kobles til biologiske signalveje, sygdomsmekanismer eller lægemiddelmål.
