Mètode Comparatiu
El Mètode Comparatiu és una tècnica fonamental en lingüística històrica per reconstruir llengües ancestrals i establir relacions genètiques entre llengües emparentades. Pilotat per Sir William Jones el 1786, compara sistemàticament trets fonològics, morfològics i lèxics entre llengües per identificar correspondències regulars de sons i rastrejar els seus orígens compartits. Aquest mètode sustenta la lingüística històrica moderna i ha estat essencial per comprendre les famílies lingüístiques a tot el món.
