Mètode de la tira finita
El mètode de la tira finita (FSM, de l'anglès Finite Strip Method) és un enfocament numèric semi-analític per analitzar estructures prismàtiques o cilíndriques, dividint-les en tires en una direcció i utilitzant solucions analítiques o exactes en la direcció perpendicular. Desenvolupat per Cheung el 1976, l'FSM redueix el cost computacional i sovint proporciona una precisió superior per a estructures amb geometria regular al llarg d'un eix.
