Troballa de forma estructural
La troballa de forma estructural és un mètode computacional per descobrir geometries estructurals que són eficients sota càrregues i restriccions donades. Pioner per Heinz Schek el 1974, inverteix el disseny estructural tradicional: en lloc d'imposar una forma predeterminada i després analitzar si és prou resistent, la troballa de forma comença amb càrregues i condicions de suport i deriva la forma òptima que minimitza l'ús de material mentre compleix els requisits de seguretat.
