উদীয়মান প্যাটার্ন মাইনিং
উদীয়মান প্যাটার্ন মাইনিং (Emerging Pattern Mining - EPM) হলো একটি বৈসাদৃশ্য-ভিত্তিক ডেটা মাইনিং কৌশল যা এমন আইটেমসেটগুলি শনাক্ত করে যাদের সমর্থন (support) একটি ডেটাসেট (বা শ্রেণী) থেকে অন্যটিতে যাওয়ার সময় উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে বৃদ্ধি পায় — অথবা শূন্য থেকে লাফিয়ে ওঠে। ১৯৯৯ সালে ডং এবং লি (Dong and Li) কর্তৃক প্রবর্তিত এই পদ্ধতিটি প্রধানত শ্রেণীকরণ (classification), অসঙ্গতি সনাক্তকরণ (anomaly detection) এবং প্রবণতা বিশ্লেষণ (trend analysis) কার্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়, যেখানে দুটি জনসংখ্যা বা সময়কালের মধ্যে পার্থক্য সৃষ্টিকারী প্যাটার্ন আবিষ্কার করাই মূল উদ্দেশ্য।
