嵌入式定量优先混合设计是一种混合方法研究结构，其中占主导地位的定量研究（调查、实验或纵向评估）为结论提供了主要依据，而定性组成部分则嵌入该定量框架内，以解决仅凭数字无法回答的问题。优先权和资源归于定量部分；定性部分则丰富、情境化或解释了更大范围定量调查的特定方面。
