ดัชนี Moran's I แบบหลายมาตราส่วน (Multiscale Moran's I) ขยายสถิติ Moran's I แบบทั่วโลก (global Moran's I) แบบดั้งเดิม โดยคำนวณความสัมพันธ์เชิงพื้นที่ (spatial autocorrelation) ในช่วงระยะห่างหรือมาตราส่วนเชิงพื้นที่ที่หลากหลาย ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้คือแผนภาพความสัมพันธ์เชิงพื้นที่ (spatial correlogram) ซึ่งเผยให้เห็นว่าตัวแปรมีการกระจุกตัวหรือกระจายตัวอยู่ที่มาตราส่วนทางภูมิศาสตร์ใด ให้ข้อมูลเชิงลึกที่ละเอียดกว่าสถิติสรุปเพียงค่าเดียว
