Visual Elicitation Visual Analysis — VEVA
Visual Elicitation Visual Analysis (VEVA) เป็นวิธีการเชิงคุณภาพที่ใช้รูปถ่ายหรือภาพอื่นๆ เป็นสิ่งเร้าในการสัมภาษณ์เพื่อกระตุ้นการมีส่วนร่วมของผู้เข้าร่วม จากนั้นจึงนำวัสดุภาพที่ได้ — ทั้งสิ่งเร้าและภาพที่ผู้เข้าร่วมสร้างขึ้น — มาวิเคราะห์ด้วยภาพอย่างเป็นระบบ แนวทางนี้ถือว่าภาพเป็นวัตถุวิเคราะห์หลัก โดยพิจารณาองค์ประกอบ สัญลักษณ์ และความหมายทางภาพ แทนที่จะจำกัดการวิเคราะห์เพียงแค่การสนทนาด้วยคำพูดที่ภาพสร้างขึ้น VEVA มีประสิทธิภาพอย่างยิ่งในการวิจัยด้วยภาพแบบมีส่วนร่วมและการศึกษาแบบ photo-voice ซึ่งภาพเป็นทั้งเครื่องมือในการกระตุ้นและการให้ข้อมูล
