Rock Mass Rating (RMR)
ระบบ Rock Mass Rating (RMR) ซึ่งพัฒนาโดย Zbigniew Bieniawski เริ่มตั้งแต่ปี 1973 เป็นระบบจำแนกประเภทเชิงประจักษ์ที่อธิบายคุณภาพมวลหินและประเมินพฤติกรรมในการทำเหมืองและวิศวกรรมโยธา RMR รวมพารามิเตอร์ทางธรณีเทคนิคที่วัดได้ห้าค่าเข้าเป็นดัชนีเดียวตั้งแต่ 0 ถึง 100 โดยค่าที่สูงขึ้นบ่งชี้ถึงมวลหินที่แข็งแรงและเสถียรมากขึ้น ถือเป็นระบบจำแนกหินที่ใช้กันอย่างแพร่หลายที่สุดทั่วโลกสำหรับการออกแบบเหมืองใต้ดิน
