Muda wa safari (ToF) hupima muda unaochukuliwa na chembe kusafiri umbali unaojulikana, kuwezesha uamuzi wa kasi na uzani wa chembe. Mbinu hii inakamilisha Cherenkov na upotevu wa nishati kutokana na ionizesheni, ikitoa utenganishaji imara wa chembe katika safu pana za momentamu katika vigunduzi vya kisasa.
