It is widely used in diabetes clinical trials and research to capture the burden of diabetes management and impact on psychosocial well-being.	The ACT is a simple, rapid, patient-centered measure of asthma control. Developed by Robert Nathan and colleagues in 2004, this 5-item questionnaire quantifies how asthma symptoms, activity limitation, and nighttime awakening affect daily life. It is the most widely used asthma control measure in clinical practice and is recommended by major asthma guidelines as a standard assessment tool.
