Stance Detection — Ställningstagande, emot eller neutral mot ett mål
Stance detection är en uppgift inom naturlig språkbehandling som avgör vilken position en text intar gentemot ett specifikt påstående, en händelse eller ett ämne — och märker det som för, emot eller neutralt. Formaliserat av Mohammad et al. i SemEval-2016 Task 6 shared task, skiljer det sig från vanlig sentimentanalys eftersom etiketten alltid är relativ till ett definierat mål snarare än textens övergripande emotionella ton.
