Introduced by Dixon (1960) and developed in the robust-estimation tradition of Wilcox, it keeps every observation in the sample rather than discarding any. | The trimmed mean test compares two groups using trimmed means, which discard a fixed proportion of the most extreme observations in each tail before averaging.
