Remote Delphi tehnika primenjuje strukturirani proces postizanja konsenzusa klasične Delfi metode u potpunosti putem daljinskih komunikacionih kanala — imejla, veb-platformi za anketiranje ili namenskih alata za saradnju — čime se eliminiše potreba za geografskim prisustvom. Eksperti popunjavaju uzastopne runde upitnika asinhrono, primajući anonimizovane statističke sažetke prethodnih odgovora grupe pre svake nove runde, dok se ne postigne unapred definisani prag konsenzusa.
