Detekcija Čerenkova zračenja
Čerenkov detekcija iskorišćava emisiju elektromagnetnog zračenja kada naelektrisana čestica putuje kroz medijum brže od svetlosti u tom istom medijumu. Ovo omogućava preciznu identifikaciju čestica i merenje mase analizom obrazaca Čerenkovog svetla, čime postaje osnovna tehnologija u modernim detektorima fizike visokih energija.
