Problem usklađivanja zaliha i ruta (Inventory Routing Problem - IRP)

Problem usklađivanja zaliha i ruta (IRP) je optimizacioni problem koji istovremeno određuje nivoe zaliha na lokacijama kupaca, rute isporuke i količine pošiljki kako bi se minimizirali ukupni troškovi logistike i držanja zaliha. Umesto da upravljanje zalihama i planiranje ruta vozila tretiramo kao odvojene odluke, IRP prepoznaje njihovu međuzavisnost: veće pošiljke smanjuju troškove ruta, ali povećavaju troškove držanja zaliha, i obrnuto. IRP se rešava korišćenjem mešovitog celobrojnog programiranja, heuristika i metaheuristika, i predstavlja kamen temeljac programa upravljanja zalihama od strane dobavljača (vendor-managed inventory - VMI).
