Galerkinova metoda

Galerkinova metoda je varijacioni postupak zasnovan na projekciji za rešavanje diferencijalnih jednačina, koji beskonačno-dimenzionalne probleme svodi na konačno-dimenzionalne linearne sisteme. Razvijena od strane Borisa Galerkinа 1915. godine i nezavisno od Ivana Bubnova, ona čini osnovu metode konačnih elemenata (FEM) i temeljna je za savremeno računarsko inženjerstvo.
