Analiza usmerenih grafova znanja predstavlja činjenično znanje kao usmereni multigraf sa etiketama, gde su entiteti čvorovi, a tipizirane relacije usmerene ivice, omogućavajući strukturirano rezonovanje, zaključivanje i otkrivanje u velikim heterogenim skupovima podataka. Smer ivica kodira asimetrične odnose kao što su 'autor-je', 'izaziva' ili 'je-tipa', čineći graf semantički bogatijim od neusmerenih alternativa.
