CALPHAD

CALPHAD (CALculation of PHAse Diagrams) je računarska metoda za predviđanje termodinamičkih ravnotežnih svojstava i faznih dijagrama višekomponentnih legura. Pokrenut od strane Larija Kaufman (Larry Kaufman) 1970-ih, CALPHAD kombinuje eksperimentalne i računarske podatke za procenu termodinamičkih svojstava faza i naknadno predviđanje ravnotežnih uslova. To je standardna metodologija u fizičkoj metalurgiji i dizajnu materijala za razvoj legura, optimizaciju procesa i razumevanje stabilnosti faza.
